The ngrok Era is an era of when Dervers were hosted on the free hosting service ngrok. There are at least two instances of this: a short-term ScratchCiv revival, and Revsca.
Due to the ScratchCiv Discord deletion and The DeOver Incident, a portion of these servers' history are lost to time.
Hosting[edit]
The decision to use ngrok was suggested due to Derv's inability to port forward at the time. However, it would lag from the limits of the free tunneling service and the hosting laptop specifications.
