Derv (BiglyDerv) is the head developer of Dervland and a vector artist of OCs. He uses Linux and is autistic.
History on Scratch
He is the original developer of the JSBomb and a former Spamchain user who currently holds the third largest remix chain, l984. He was the former maintainer of a remix tree front-end, and the current developer of a personal website.
He has the second most deleted projects on Scratch, at over 70,000. Additionally, he formerly operated many accounts, at over 550 of them. Many of those were created via the Classbomb, obtained from using leaked class codes on Google Search.
He later appealed the ban on 08draven and used the site for what he describes as productive usage:
I no longer see the point to spamming useless projects on a programming website. What is the point? You clutter your profile and put your account at risk of being banned. Plus, the point of Scratch isn't a mindless number game.
The JSBomb era is over, there's no glory to be obtained. Use the API for more productive uses instead: cloud variables can do cool things when connected to an external web server, for example.
08draven, Wiki
On November 20th 2024, he would quit Scratch and set his profile picture to words criticizing the Scratch Team's behavior, leading to a permanent ban. Since then, he has focused on computer programming.
